Facco’s parent stock battery cage design is the result of our years of experience and cooperation with major world layer breeders.
Our unique design is an ideal battery cage for layer breeders. Mating and minimum egg breakage are matched within an optimal breeding environment.
Facco’s experience in the field of layer parent stock contributed to the creation of this 3rd generation parent stock (breeder) cage system. Our development, unique in the industry, did not try to adopt a commercial layer cage but instead, worked in conjunction with the major world breeders to design a breeder cage system to maximize fertility hatching and overall production. The special removable partition (patent pending) allows to easily vary the flock size, optimizing the male/female ratio during every moment of batch life. Starting from a basic module of 240 x 170 cm, the cage dimension can be increased to 480 x 127 cm for a better utilization. The size can be further increased by simply removing more partitions.
Manure Belts
Starting from the special high resistance and limited thermal expansion of the PPP (carrier) belt, the manure is automatically handled with very little maintenance – thanks also to the low friction supporting system. The special design of the manure driving units insures the cleaning of the belt, manure cross belt and elevators. The system includes heavy duty 3 layer cloth, long lasting rubber belts and easy manure transport from cages to storage areas.
